Requirement of these furnaces are to raise the temperature of the molten metal or to adjust the properties of the molten metal, fumes generated in this operation are comparatively low and can be addressed by primary fume extraction system which comprises of suction hood, pulse jet bag filter and centrifugal blower or fan. The escaped fumes in this operation can be captured thru a central secondary fume extraction system at the top of the shed.
